Remaining Fixtures for Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham & Newcastle – Who’ll finish 3rd & 4th?
We’re well into the final straight, and there aren’t many furlongs left, as we approach the end of the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League season, and coincidentally, the Aintree Grand National! We’ve been working hard over recent weeks to keep fans up-to-date with the remaining fixtures for teams at the top, and bottom of the Premier League table, but up until now we haven’t reported on the race for third and fourth, and ultimately UEFA Champions League football. So, for all the Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle fans out there, here is the list of all the remaining fixtures for your teams, as you battle it out for a place in European football’s elite competition.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has come out and claimed that Spurs can win the FA Cup and finish in the top four, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is convinced his Gunners team have enough to secure a third or fourth place finish after a very good run of late (ignoring their recent hiccup against QPR).
Chelsea still have Champions League and FA Cup football to play for as well as fighting it out for a place in the top four and it’s interesting that outsiders Newcastle have also entered the race, following the Cisse and Ben Arfa inspired finish to the season they’ve managed to put together so far. With the remaining fixtures for Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle including games against eachother (Arsenal host Chelsea, while Chelsea also host Newcastle), we’re sure there will be a few twists and turns before the end of the 2011 / 2012 season.
So here’s the list of all the remaining fixtures for third and fourth place in the Barclays Premier League 2011-12:

So, there’s the list. Who do you fancy to finish in third and fourth place? It’s certainly a difficult one to predict as there are clashes with the relegation threatened teams too, and we all saw what happened to Manchester United in their recent trip to Wigan. Oh, how we love this stage of the season!
As always, we welcome comments and debate, so if you’d like to have your say below on which team’s remaining fixtures will help them secure Champions League football next season, we’ll be publishing as many as we can.
