Latest Pre-Season Summer Transfer Rumours
So, our regular bout of the latest pre-season transfer rumours continues giving you all the latest speculation on what’s happening with your Premier League club.
Manchester City are apparently close to tabling a £30million bid for Inter Milan and Holland attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder, 27, according to the Daily Mail. After being both Manchester clubs were snubbed by Eden Hazard, City are keen to capture Sneijder after United failed to agree personal terms back in January.
On the other side of Manchester, Man United are rumoured to be stepping up their persuit of Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa. The Borussia Dortmund playmaker, 23, has 1 year left on his current contract and United are reported to be looking to increase their offer to £17million, after a £13million bid was rejected earlier this week. A £5million bid for Crewe midfielder Nick Powell is also on the cards, while the reds are also keeping tabs on Spurs midfielder Luka Modric.
Tottenham are interested in Newcastle striker Demba Ba according to various reports. The Senagal striker would cost in the region of £7million. With Spurs trying to secure the services of Emmanuel Adebayor, they are in need of a strike partner for the Togo player, as Luis Saha is unlikely to remain at White Hart Lane next season. West Ham are showing an interest in Saha.
Newcastle United scouts were apparently in France on Sunday to watch French rightback Mathieu Debuchy. The Lille defender would cost around £8million, but a deal is not yet confirmed.
Reports are coming in that the deal for Porto striker Hulk to move to Chelsea is ’90 per cent’ complete. The Telegraph suggests Porto are holding out for £60million, although other papers suggest a deal will cost the Blues £40million. With Chelsea having already secured the services of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin, signing Hulk could complete the building of a formidable new attack to support Fernando Torres next season.

Like it Franky – very attacking but think it’d scare a lot of teams. I think United still need a defensive midfielder but I agree with the wingers though – Valencia and Young are more direct than Nani. I do however feel that Nani could be utilised by United in the same role Ronaldo filled in his last few years at OT – a more ‘free spirit’ than an out and out winger. It’ll be interesting to see who else they sign.
